Traci Armstrong

Traci ArmstrongTraci Armstrong’s career path is as twisted as San Francisco’s Lombard Street. Which is fitting, since her latest position as Talent Director is for the iconic ad agency Goodby Silverstein & Partners headquartered in San Francisco.

Traci was part of a team that opened GS&P’s first full-service office outside of San Francisco – in Detroit – after landing the Chevrolet business. In one year, GSP-Detroit has hired over 150 people and, proudly, opened an office space in Detroit’s historic Palms Building.

Before GS&P, Traci gave the ol’ college-try as an account manager at JWT, pitched post production services to producers at GTN, owned and published a b-to-b magazine Big Idea for 12 years, and oversaw recruiting at ad agencies Campbell-Ewald and Organic.

Her published articles on recruiting and social networking have been featured in Ad Age, Workforce Management and the San Francisco Examiner. She has been invited to be a subject matter expert in the Wikinomics blog and the book How to Hire A Players. Traci was featured in Crain’s Detroit 40 under 40 and has served as a judge and speaker for many organizations. But, her most recent accomplishment is kicking a decades-old Diet Coke habit.
