Colleen Hill

Colleen Hill is an Ann Arbor native who moved to Detroit in the fall of 2003 to attend the College for Creative Studies. Since graduating from CCS, she’s participated in De Program, a three-week long intensive graduate course in the Netherlands, studying with Lust and NLXL. She spent three years working at Elevator, a small design studio specializing in web, identity, and print work. She also worked as an in-house designer at Washtenaw Community College managing the look and feel of the website and art directing photography for the homepage. She currently works at MRM as an art director.

She is the president of the AIGA Detroit chapter and works closely with the national organization to ensure the mission and vision of the chapter are upheld. She previously served as the programming director for two years, organizing events and competitions such as the 2010 Celebrate Michigan Design lecture, the Wish You Were Here postcard competition, screenings of design related films, and lectures. During her tenure on the board she has helped the chapter double their membership, triple the number of partners and sponsors, and raise their profile both within southeast Michigan and nationally.
