The Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association Lawyer Referral Information Service (LRIS) helps you find a lawyer that has experience with your particular type of legal problem. Referrals are made to experienced private lawyers by area of law, location and by foreign language. The LRIS screens all attorneys for experience and checks to see that they are licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Michigan. Wayne State University Law School’s Small Business Enterprises and Nonprofit Corporations Clinic
The Clinic represents both for-profit and nonprofit clients who cannot afford to pay for legal services offered by attorneys in the private bar.
