DC3 Accelerator Gallery: Getting There & NYC + DET
Submissions for Getting There; Personal Cartography of Detroit are now closed. Look for an announcement of artists included here on the DC3 blog some time next week!
The show will open on Thursday, September 20th, as part of this year’s Detroit Design Festival, with an opening reception from 5:30 to 8:30. The opening reception will take place in conjunction with another exciting DDF event happening in the DC3 space:
Mobility: NYC+DET Design-a-Thon
Mobility is about freedom of movement across cities and communities through transit, technology, information and communication. In 48 hours, designers from NYC and Detroit will create and present shared solutions that both cities can use to improve mobility in their respective communities.
The Design-a-Thon will take place on Thursday and Friday, and we are inviting the participant to come and socialize at our Thursday evening reception. We look forward to the exciting conversations surrounding maps and mobility, art and design, and encourage you to drop by and check it out. The participants in the Design-a-Thon will be busy working during the day, so if you want to pick their brains, Thursday night is the time.
