The New Creative Ventures
Those of you who follow our work on regular basis know that earlier this summer we were really excited to announce this year’s participants in our Creative Ventures program. Over the past two months since the program kicked off its second year, these new ventures have been busy developing plans to advance their businesses while continuing to deliver quality work to their clients and customers. DC3 staff has been busy meeting with each venture and providing feedback on key strategies. As a teaser for what is to come, here are some things they are working on:
Order & Other has been hard at work producing documentary pieces for their client Shinola, which is an exciting new brand of products literally coming off the line in Detroit. Click here to view their Detroit watch factory coming to life in this video from Order & Other.
13 Protons has just completed the website for Detroit Manufacturing Systems, a new company set to create 500 auto-related jobs in the city over the next three years. Read all about the company’s launch in the Detroit Free Press here.
Local Portion is developing a line of innovative, Detroit-made ceramic products for contemporary use. Check out their Tumblr and stay up-to-date on their progress.
Detroit Bike City has been busy this summer, to say the very least! Some might even say they are leading the charge for a mobilized and enthusiastic bicycle culture in Detroit, with their weekly rides drawing participants of 100+ each time. They have been hosting several weekly rides, a weekly film event, and organized this year’s Colin Hubbell annual bike ride. They have also been busy preparing for the next Detroit Bike City swap & trade show. To keep on top of all they are making happen you call visit their site here.
