Detroit Design Festival 2012 Announces New Sponsors
The DDF team at the DC3 has been charged with a unique task: engage a new round of internationally relevant, design-forward sponsors to help support this year’s Detroit Design Festival. Never afraid of a challenge: they accepted and their work is beginning to deliver good results.
Over the past week: two new sponsors have committed towards supporting the 2012 Detroit Design Festival and Detroit’s hyper-innovative design and creative community. They are:
> MARS Advertising, Inc., a leading shopper marketing agency with global reach and corporate headquarters in metro-Detroit.
> Michelin North America, Inc., a $7.25 billion dollar a year company operating 18 plants in 16 locations and employs 22,270 people.
MARS and Michelin join a growing collection of global brands, Detroit-based businesses and respected, Detroit-based institutions as Detroit Design Festival 2012 sponsors. These existing sponsors include Diet Coke, 3M, Miller Canfield, College for Creative Studies and Wayne State University. These sponsorships are especially important, as they help cover the cost of micro-grants, offer in-kind venues to Detroit-based designers and practitioners, and ensure the work of Detroit’s creative community is shared with national and global audiences.
The DC3 team looks forward to announcing additional sponsorships and sharing a host of unique, Detroit Design Festival engagements planned in partnership with our sponsors over the next few weeks.
