Beyond the Bar: Call to Entries
AIGA, the Professional Association for Design, is presenting Beyond the Bar, an art show celebrating applied art by Detroit’s LGBT community. Beyond the Bar is one of the latest movements created to combat stereotypes about the LGBT community and design, and to credit members of the LGBT community for their contributions to “applied art.” The show began looking for designers in April, seeking student and professionals in applied arts and design.
Beyond the Bar will showcase the pieces in an event opening during Ferndale Pride Week.
The deadline is Friday, June 1, 2012.
The opening is Thursday, June 14, 2012.
